Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, together with prominent dignitaries from Nigeria, today launched the Avon Ultramodern medical facility in Surulere, Lagos.
This new facility, Nairaconomy learned, will enhance its capacity to 50 beds throughout its network, marking a significant step toward providing patient-centered healthcare to Nigerians.
The launch of this state-of-the-art facility signifies Avon Medical’s evolution from a single clinic into a comprehensive network of hospitals, which includes a dialysis center and multiple clinics serving communities across Nigeria.
Founded in 2009 by Dr. Awele Elumelu, OFR, this initiative aims to make world-class healthcare accessible to everyone.
The facility will improve access to maternal healthcare, ensuring that more children receive timely, life-saving treatments. It will also provide families with reliable and affordable care options.
In his remarks, Governor Sanwo-Olu said, “This facility represents a collective commitment to ensuring that quality health services are accessible to all. I look forward to seeing the positive impact this will have in the community.”
Avon Medical is a subsidiary of Heirs Holdings Plc and is a key private sector player in the Nigerian healthcare sector.
