Guinness Nigeria Plc has announced a change in its accounting year-end, transitioning from its current cycle of 1st July to 30th June to a new accounting period of 1st January to 31st December, effective from the 2025 financial year.
The Board of Directors approved the change to better align with the standard calendar and budgeting cycle, thereby enabling simpler and more streamlined financial reporting in future periods.
As a result of this adjustment, the company’s audited financial statements for the 2025 financial year will cover an extended eighteen-month period ending on 31 December 2025. All relevant regulatory authorities have been or will be duly notified of the change.
The move is expected to enhance the operational efficiency of the company and also improve alignment with global reporting standards.
