The Board of Directors of Geregu Power Plc announced the resignation of Mr. John Robert Lee from the Board, effective April 11, 2025.
Mr. Lee joined the Board in January 2022 as an Independent Non-Executive Director. During his tenure, he served on both the Statutory Audit Committee and the Remuneration and Governance Committee, contributing significantly to the company’s strategic oversight and corporate governance practices.
Robert Lee has worked in the Financial Services Industry for around 40 years, with the last 25 years having a particular focus on Nigeria, including extensive travel to the region.
He has primarily worked for global international banks HSBC and Standard Chartered, both out of London.
Recent roles included Corporate and institutional Banking and International Private Banking, with Senior Management positions held.
He has, therefore, gained experience in Corporate Finance, Treasury, Corporate Banking, and Private Banking, giving him a unique and varied background.
Mr Lee is an Associate of The London Institute of Banking & Finance and a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment, London. Investment advisory services
