International Breweries Plc, a major player in Nigeria’s brewing industry, has announced a loss after tax of N11.91 billion in its unaudited financial results for the first half of 2025. This comes as the company faced a substantial 50.92% drop in revenue.
According to the report released on the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) Group, the company’s revenue for the first half of 2025 fell significantly from N340.99 billion to N167.36 billion.
The company’s profit before tax stood at N26.46 billion. However, after accounting for tax, the company declared a final loss after tax of N11.91 billion. The company’s share price currently stands at N14.50k.
This downturn in performance comes amidst a challenging macroeconomic environment characterized by rising operational costs and inflationary pressures affecting the consumer goods sector in Nigeria.
