His Royal Majesty Oba (Dr.) Michael Odunayo Ajayi JP, FIADRN, FICMN, FIIM, Arowotawaya II, the paramount king of Erinmo-Ijesa in Osun State, has received the prestigious “Distinguished Monarch of Global Influence and Humanitarian Impact” award.
The honor was bestowed by the Great Achievers Initiative for Youths and Community Development (GAIYCD) during a ceremony held last week in Abuja.
The event, titled the Great Achievers Summit and Award of Excellence 2025, celebrated outstanding individuals who have dedicated their time and resources to fostering community development, with a special focus on male child empowerment.
The summit featured a keynote lecture themed “Reorientation of the Male Child Mentorship in Africa,” attended by prominent personalities. Oba Michael Odunayo Ajayi served as the special guest of honor.
Oba Ajayi received the award in recognition of his significant contributions and achievements, which have set high standards and demonstrated exceptional skill and commitment to community development and youth empowerment.
In recent times, the monarch has garnered numerous awards for his impactful developmental initiatives and empowerment efforts.
Beyond his traditional role, Oba Ajayi has been an influential voice in national and global affairs. His visibility on the international stage distinguishes him as a strong advocate for global unity through conflict resolution and solution-oriented summits.
He has consistently advocated for the recognition of traditional rulers as a third tier of government, with mandates to oversee security and related issues in rural communities.
A formidable force in youth empowerment, Oba Elerinmo serves as a patron to numerous youth organizations across the country.
While receiving the award, Kabiyesi Elerinmo thanked GAIYCD for acknowledging his visible impacts, especially in male child empowerment and leadership advocacy. He remarked that the honor was unsurprising, noting that his efforts speak for themselves.
