The Board of NGX Regulation Limited (NGX RegCo) has approved the delisting of ASO Savings and Loans Plc from the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX), following the revocation of the company’s operating licence by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
According to the notification signed by Ugochi Eke on behalf of NGX Regulation Limited, “the Board has approved the delisting of ASO Savings and Loans Plc (ASO Savings or the Company) from the Nigerian Exchange Limited’s Daily Official List effective 16 January 2026. ASO Savings is hereby notified of this enforcement action and is advised to direct any communication in respect of the foregoing to
iceunit@ngxgroup.com.”
ASO Savings and Loans Plc will be removed from the NGX Daily Official List effective today, January 16, 2026. NGX RegCo disclosed that it had been engaging ASO Savings regarding outstanding post-listing obligations.
However, the engagement became untenable after the CBN, acting as the company’s primary regulator, revoked ASO Savings’ operating licence with effect from December 16, 2025.
The publication also serves as a formal notice to the investing public and participants in the Nigerian capital market, of the impending delisting.
Analysts believe that this development underscores the Exchange’s commitment to maintaining market integrity and ensuring that listed entities comply with regulatory and licensing requirements.
The statement read:
The Board of NGX Regulation Limited (NGX RegCo), via its decision dated 1 January 2026, approved that the step below should be taken pursuant to the process for regulatory delisting of Issuers.
Commence Delisting:
The Board has approved the delisting of ASO Savings and Loans Plc (ASO Savings or the Company) from the Nigerian Exchange Limited’s Daily Official List effective 16 January 2026.
ASO Savings is hereby notified of this enforcement action and is advised to direct any communication in respect of the foregoing to iceunit@ngxgroup.com. NGX RegCo was engaging the listed entity concerning its outstanding post-listing obligations.
However, following the revocation of ASO Savings’ operating license by its primary regulator, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), effective 16 December 2025, NGX RegCo will delist the entity from the Daily Official List effective 16 January 2026.
In view of the foregoing, NGX RegCo has proceeded to publish the Company’s name in the national dailies. The Company has been duly notified of this enforcement action, and this publication serves as notification to the investing public, particularly shareholders of the Company and investors in the Nigerian Capital Market.
