Mkobo Microfinance Bank is marking its 10th anniversary this August with the relaunch of their digital banking app designed to improve access to financial services for Nigeria’s workforce.

Speaking on the milestone, Habeeb Adeokun, Managing Director of Mkobo MFB, said, “For a decade, we’ve worked to make financial wellbeing a reality for economically active Nigerians.

”Mkobo @10 is more than a milestone; it’s our recommitment to giving every worker, entrepreneur, and hustler access to the tools they need to thrive, starting with our new digital platform.”

The new Mkobo App provides a personal banking platform for salary earners, entrepreneurs, and gig workers. It features EarlyPay, an earned wage access product that allows users to withdraw up to 50% of their salary at 0% interest before payday.

The app also enables transfers, bill payments, savings, and salary loans. Most importantly is that you earn interest on your sitting or available balance everyday.

Since its establishment in 2015, Mkobo has reached more than 250,000 individuals and businesses across the country.

The bank has disbursed billions of naira in credit and asset financing and introduced savings products such as Mkolo (flexi and target savings) and is set to launch Mkobo for Business, targeted at SMEs in Nigeria.

The anniversary is themed “Mkobo @10: 1 Mission – Financial Wellbeing for All.” As part of the celebration, the bank has introduced a Deposit to Feed & Win Campaign. Customers who deposit ₦10,000 or more stand a chance to win weekly prizes, including airtime, Showmax subscriptions, Shuttlers credits, iFitness passes, and smart gadgets.

In addition, Mkobo is also carrying out corporate social responsibility programmes. These include a medical outreach in partnership with SignalADoc, donations to the less privileged, and contributions to schools in local communities.

The Mkobo @10 campaign will run until 30 September 2025.
