AXA Mansard Insurance Plc has announced the resignation of Ms Melina Cotlar as a Non-Executive Director of the Company’s Board, effective May 29, 2026.
The disclosure, which was made to the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) and the investing public, stated that Ms Cotlar stepped down after serving on the Board since receiving regulatory approval for her appointment on April 6, 2023.
During her tenure, she served on the Board’s Technical and Risk Management Committee, where she contributed to the Company’s governance, risk oversight, and strategic decision-making.
Ms Melina Cortlar is an experienced Actuarial Scientist and Risk Manager who started her career as a Research Assistant with FIEL in 2004.
She has worked with various organisations, including PwC, where she worked for 6 years and ten months and left as a Manager in the Actuarial & Risk Management Team.
While with PwC, Melina oversaw the Management of PwC’s Risk Management departments, both in Argentina and Israel.
She trained as an Actuarial Scientist at the University of Buenos Aires, completed a special course in Financial Risk Management at the University of Ariel in Israel, and received training in Management at the University of San Andres.
